They are tiny (usually less than 5mm/0.2 n long), somewhat pear-shaped insects that feed on the juice of many kinds of plants. To procure their food, they pierce stems and leaves with their thin, tube-like mouthparts. They produce a sweet substance, called honeydew, which draws ants and other insects.

Get Rid Of Aphids: Use Live Ladybugs is a post from: Gardening Guide

The Easter lilly also known as Lilium longiflorum has its origination within the southern islands of Japan. In the 1880's the beautiful flowered plant was shipped to the United States by method of Bermuda. During World War I a soldier named Louis Houghton brought hybrid bulbs of lilly to Oregon and handed them off to friends and neighbors. Once the importation of the Easter lilly from Japan was halted during World War II, many United States citizens began to sell their hobby plants to the public given the sudden rise in prices. This started the increase of availability within the Easter lilly in the United States and its popular usage began.

Taking Care Of The Easter Lilly is a post from: Gardening Guide

Today's patio glider is a twist on the good old-fashioned rocking chair. It provides an good, smooth rocking motion rather than the cumbersome rocking of yesteryear. Patio gliders have been established since late 1800's and became popular in the beginning of 1900's. In the early years of their existence, these were called "swinging davenports" or "couch Hammocks." During 1925, someone dubbed it a "glide hammock" and the name "glider" was adopted shortly thereafter.

All About Patio Gliders is a post from: Gardening Guide
